The 1983 NCAA Basketball Championship, otherwise known as the Game of the Century, between University of Houston and North Carolina State showcases the athletic talents of some of the greatest players (Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde "The Glide" Drexler" to name a few - both UH Black Alums). Houston's "Phi Slamma Jamma" was led by Hakeem Olajuwon, who won the Most Outstanding Player in spite of the 54-52 loss.
